More Than a School — A Community
At The International School of Texas, learning doesn’t stop when the bell rings. Trailblazer Life is the heartbeat of our community — a vibrant mix of athletics, arts, clubs, traditions, service, and adventure that shapes who our students become.
From competing on the field to collaborating in the STEM lab, from celebrating Holi to traveling to London, IST students are active, engaged, and excited to be part of something bigger than themselves.
What Makes Trailblazer Life Special
35+ Clubs, Teams & Organizations — Whether your child is passionate about robotics, visual arts, community service, or competitive athletics, there is a place for every Trailblazer to explore their interests and discover new ones.
The Trailblazer House System — Every student belongs to one of four houses — Armstrong, Earhart, Malala, or Mandela — building friendships across grade levels and earning points toward the annual House Cup.
School Traditions — From Sports Day and Spirit Week to the International Harvest Festival and Lunar New Year, our traditions celebrate our diverse, close-knit community.
Student Travel & Trips — Our signature Trip Week program takes students in Grades 2–12 to destinations across the U.S. and around the world. At IST, the world is our classroom.
Student Support & Wellness — Social-emotional learning, counseling, and whole-student wellness are woven into the Trailblazer experience — not treated as extras.
Summer Camps — IST’s summer programs extend the spirit of Trailblazer Life into the summer months with enriching, fun, and engaging experiences for students of all ages.
