Dr. David Watson joined IST as Head of School in July 2025, bringing over 30 years of international education leadership spanning the United States, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
Most recently, Dr. Watson served at the Community School of Naples in Florida, where he grew enrollment by 40%, tripled the endowment, and expanded campus facilities to include STEM and robotics programs. His previous leadership roles include The Awty International School in Houston, RAK Academy in the UAE, American British Academy in Oman, and Garden International School in Malaysia.
Fluent in English and French, Dr. Watson holds degrees from three European countries and is a joint U.S./U.K. citizen. He has served on the boards of FCIS, CIS, and CISTA, and is a former International Baccalaureate examiner.
