Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Mr. Malnor completed his education at Denison University and has his ESL Certification, as well as his Texas K-12 PE Certification.

A proud father of two children and a Golden Retriever named Dr. Jones, you will find Coach Malnor reading or playing board games with his family in his spare time. (His family tradition of Euchre is also a hobby!) Coach Malnor has visited more than 10 countries and says that Hong Kong is his favorite travel destination thus far.

Mr. Malnor (or Coach, as we call him!) loves to see students work hard and improve at their athletic ability, sportsmanship, and determination to try new things and work toward success. He feels that his more than 8 years as an educator have taught him patience and understanding. One of his greatest influences was Coach Tompkins at East Grand Rapids High School, who taught Coach Malnor that “PE is about more than playing games.” We couldn’t agree more!
