Brian Yacktman |

Brian and his wife, Tasha, are the proud parents of three IST students, Easton, Caeden, and Joy, as well as three IST alums, Thalia, Sky, and Tristan. Brian and Tasha have been at IST since its founding in 2013 and are enthusiastic advocates of IST’s growth and promise. In 2007, Brian founded YCG Investments, a firm that manages separate accounts and the YCG Enhanced mutual fund, with $1 million in assets under management and has watched it grow to over $1 billion in assets today, while achieving market beating performance since its inception. Brian has been quoted and highlighted in financial media outlets such as CNBC, Fox, WSJ, Bloomberg, Barron’s, MarketWatch, CNN, Reuters, and Forbes. He also has served as a panelist for Institutional Investor and as a guest lecturer at Brigham Young University, University of Texas, Texas Lutheran University, Brown University, Gurufocus Value Conference, American Society of Appraisers and at the Googleplex. Prior to starting YCG, Brian was with Yacktman Asset Management, advisor to The Yacktman Funds. Brian graduated from Brigham Young University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics and an MBA with an emphasis in finance.

While growing his business has been an incredible adventure, what really drives Brian’s desire for success is the opportunity to give and to share his success with other organizations doing work he considers to be far more important than his own.  In addition to Brian’s service as an IST Trustee, he and his wife, Tasha, are avid supporters of Operation Underground Railroad, The Nazarene Fund, LDS Humanitarian Services, St. Jude, the Make a Wish Foundation, and the Center for Child Protection in their efforts to rescue, protect, and serve children.  In his spare time, Brian enjoys spending time with his family skiing, traveling, and serving in their community.
