Francesca has nine years of experience in education both stateside and internationally at the Singapore American School and the Shanghai American School. She has enjoyed teaching in the early childhood setting, first grade, second grade, fourth grade, and fifth grade. She graduated from the University of Texas with a B.A. in Economics, Latin American Studies, and History. Later she returned to obtain a Master of Education in School Counseling from the State University of New York @ Buffalo.
Francesca believes that every child should be challenged academically. It will be through these classroom and learning experiences that our students continue to grow as learners. As a participant and guide in each of her student’s learning experience she believes that it is important to tune into each child’s learning style, to guide them to be the learner they were meant to be, and to work with each student to create a positive learning experience. It is imperative that we teach our students how to think on their own two feet as critical thinkers, observers, and explorers of the exciting world around them.
When away from school, Francesca enjoys spending time with her husband and their three boys. Often you will find them traveling, exploring new cities, bike riding, skiing, or white-water rafting in the U.S. or overseas.
