Once you submit an inquiry, you will login to this link to get the application checklist. On the left side, you will see the required checkpoints that need to be created. Make sure when you are filling out the information that needs to be marked as complete, you click the toggle to say yes. This is mainly in the demographic questions.
You can start filling out the checklist as a candidate. Once the application fee is submitted, the student becomes an applicant.
On the checklist, you will be able to send an electronic form to the teacher. You will be notified when it is has been submitted to your student’s portal.
For Jr. Pre K - 5th Grade, only a parent interview is needed. For 6th - 10th grade, we interview both your student and parent(s).
Please email s.solomon@istexas to schedule your family interview and meeting. We host interviews at 9:00, 10:00, 11:00, 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00.

You can schedule a class visit day on our Group Visit Days through your candidate portal (after submitting your inquiry form).
A class visit day is a required checklist item to complete for the application process.
Yes, please go in your portal to sign up for all the opportunities. You will really want to come to the Open House on Sunday, November 16, 2025. Parents will get to experience a classroom with the students.
For Jr. Pre-K through first grade, your student will have a short assessment in class so the teacher can learn more about their skills. For Grade 2 - Grade 10, applicants are required to take the ISEE test - you can sign up for the ISEE test here.
The Independent School Entrance Exam is administered through the Educational Records Bureau. For more information or practice questions for the ISEE test and ERB, click here.
January 23, 2026 is the priority deadline. As long as you have taken the test by January 23, 2026 the application will be considered complete.
