Once you submit an inquiry, you will login to this link to get the application checklist. On the left side, you will see the required checkpoints that need to be created. Make sure when you are filling out the information that needs to be marked as complete, you click the toggle to say yes. This is mainly in the demographic questions.
You can start filling out the checklist as a candidate. Once the application fee is submitted, the student becomes an applicant.
On the checklist, you will be able to send an electronic form to the teacher. You will be notified when it is has been submitted to your student’s portal.
This is another item to complete on the checklist. You will email Sara Solomon at s.solomon@istexas to get it scheduled. We do interviews at 9,10, 11, 1, 2 and 3. Send 3 preferred dates.
For Jr. Pre K - 5th Grade, you only need to do the parent interview. For 6th - 10th grade, we interview both the student and parent. It is a casual visit where we get to know you and you learn more about the school.
For 3rd - 10th Grade, you will go in the candidate checklist and sign up for one of the scheduled days. For Junior Pre K - Second Grade, you will need to email Sara Solomon at s.solomon@istexas.org to schedule your visit. A class visit day is a required checklist item to complete for the application process.
Yes, please go in your portal to sign up for all the opportunities. You will really want to come to the Open House on Sunday, November 10th. Parents will get to experience a classroom with the students.
For Jr. Pre-K through 1st grade, the student will have a short assessment in class so the teacher can learn more about the student’s skills. For Grade 2 - Grade 10, you can sign up for the ISEE test which will be held on Saturday, January 11 at our campus. The test fee is included in your application fee. For more information about the ISEE test, please go to the ERB website. They have practice questions online for you.
Contact Sara Solomon at s.solomon@istexas.org to get the waiver code to sign up. Remember, the ISEE test is part of your application fee. If you choose to take the test online on your own schedule, you will have to pay the fee.
January 20, 2025 is the priority deadline. As long as you have taken the test by January 20, 2025 the application will be considered complete.
