School Hours

• Primary Division (Junior Pre-K–Grade 5): 8:00 a.m.–3:10 p.m.
• Secondary Division (Grades 6–11): 8:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

Morning Arrival: Early Bird Drop-Off is available for all families from 7:20–7:40 a.m. Parents must park and walk their student into the building during this time. Faculty-monitored drop-off and the regular car line operate from 7:40–8:00 a.m.

Attendance & Tardies: Students are considered tardy after 8:00 a.m. Tardy Primary Division students must be parked, walked into the Front Office, and signed in by a parent or guardian. Tardy Secondary Division students may be dropped off and check themselves in at the Front Office. Students who are not checked in by 9:00 a.m. will be marked absent.

To help keep our campus safe, all drivers (parents, guardians, and student drivers) who park on campus or use the IST car line must complete this form once per vehicle for the 2026–2027 school year.

Upon approval, you will receive an IST parking permit, which must be displayed on the driver’s side of your windshield while on campus. Parking permits help us quickly identify authorized vehicles and support campus safety and security.

Please complete a separate form for each vehicle that will be driven on campus.

If you have old uniforms that no longer fit or are not needed, please consider bringing them to our Uniform Swap table at the Welcome Back Event on Monday, August 17 at 9:00 a.m. in the PAAC. This is a helpful station where cleaned, gently-used uniform items are traded and picked up for students needing new sizes or updated school clothes. We will have these items available during the first week of school.

Please log in to your Veracross Family Portal and update your student(s)’ health information by selecting the Magnus Health icon in the right-hand menu. All required health forms and documentation must be completed before your child may begin school.

Need assistance? Nurse Bethany will be available at our Welcome Back Event to answer questions about health requirements and navigating the Magnus Health system.

Many of our fall athletic teams are already hard at work preparing for the season, and we can’t wait to cheer them on this fall! Registration for after-school clubs and activities is still open, so be sure to sign your student up. Clubs begin during the first week of school and meet until 5:00 p.m. each day.

New This Year: Trailblazer Parent Association

We’re excited to launch the Trailblazer Parent Association (TPA) for the 2026–27 school year! TPA offers a variety of volunteer opportunities through committee-based involvement, with options for every interest and time availability. Explore the committee descriptions in the TPA Volunteer Guide and sign up using the Google Form below.

Most roles are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, with some committees having carryover from previous years. Paper sign ups will also be available at our Welcome Back Event!

Those interested in serving as Class Parent Leads & Assistant Leads can apply through a brief, separate form, with selection at the discretion of the school. The deadline to apply to serve as a Parent Lead is Sunday, August 9.

All Primary Division class assignments and rosters were sent to your inbox on Tuesday, August 4. These assignments and rosters will be available at our Welcome Back Event on Monday, August 17 at 9:00 a.m. in the PAAC.

All Secondary Division students have already received their course schedules for the upcoming academic year. If you have questions, requests, or changes for your academic schedule, please visit our Scheduling Table with Ms. Overman at our Welcome Back Event on Monday, August 17 at 9:00 a.m. in the PAAC. You can also email Ms. Overman at m.overman@istexas.org for schedule-related questions.

On the first day of school, you can park and walk your student(s) to their classroom door. Please be prompt and leave by 8:00 am. Only Early Childhood families (Junior Pre-K, Pre-K, and Kindergarten) may walk students to their classrooms during the first two days of school. Beginning Friday, August 21, all Early Childhood students should be dropped off through the regular car line to help establish their daily routine. Students in all other grades should use the regular morning drop-off procedures beginning on the first day of school.

The event will feature informational booths, a welcome from Dr. Watson, our House Sorting Ceremony, recognition of the 2026 House Cup winners, and a Uniform Swap. After the program, families are invited to briefly visit classrooms and meet teachers.

No – as part of your student’s tuition, all school supplies (notebooks, folders, paper, pencils, etc.) are included and prepared in your classroom!

Don’t worry! Our leadership team, faculty, and staff are here to help. We’ll provide guidance, flexibility, and grace as everyone settles into new routines and procedures during the first few weeks of school.
