Andrea is from Wisconsin and has taught for 6 years in Colorado and Texas, grades 2-5. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education at Loyola University Chicago and is certified to teach grades K-9, with middle level endorsements in math and science. After graduation, Andrea taught English in New Delhi, India for a year. Andrea received her Master’s degree in STEM Education at the University of Texas at Austin in 2016. This will be Mrs. Clark’s third year at IST, and second year in 5th grade.
Andrea has attended several professional development workshops and conferences, including the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics Annual Meeting and the International Society of Technology in Education national conference, both in 2017. In 2016, she attended the Texas IB Making the PYP Happen and Exhibition workshops.
Mrs. Clark moved to Austin in 2014 and was married in 2015. In her spare time she enjoys running marathons and half-marathons, reading children’s and young adult literature, cooking exotic foods, and going to see plays and musicals. She also enjoys traveling around the US and the world. Mrs. Clark is currently learning French and German.
