Margaret Garza is originally from South Texas, and is a 2009 graduate of Texas State University in San Marcos where she received her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Interdisciplinary Studies. While in college, she volunteered and mentored students at neighboring schools where she realized her true passion for Education. Margaret is also elementary certified to teach in Texas. After graduating, Margaret became a lead pre-kindergarten and kindergarten teacher in a privately-owned school for two years. Thereafter, she taught in an international school for three years as a nursery teacher. Margaret has also taught in a Texas public school and held membership of the Positive Behavior Support Team, which creates positive school environments and supports appropriate student behaviors. This will be Margaret’s seventh year in teaching and she is extremely excited to be working with such a wonderful team of teachers, amazing families, and the best children in the world!
In Margaret’s free time, she enjoys cooking and baking, playing with her two dogs, Sherlock and Monty, crossfit training, photography, and being adventurous with her family and friends!
