Itzel Aldana is a native of Mexico City where she studied Education. She moved to the U.S. to attend the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and obtained her TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certification.
Back in Mexico, she focused her career on children’s literature and creative processes at Universidad Iberoamericana. She received her Master’s in Education (Gifted and Talented concentration) from Incarnate Word University in San Antonio, Texas.
Itzel’s first experience with children began soon after High School. She worked for one of the schools her mother owns in Mexico City, supporting kindergarten teachers. She also joined the kindergarten staff at Kenosha Christian Life School in Wisconsin as an art teacher for two years. While in Mexico City, Itzel was part of Escuela Sierra Nevada staff for five years and she led the first grade classroom in a full immersion English curriculum.
