Healthy Choices to Last a Lifetime

HEALTHY EATING PROGRAM
As part of our commitment to the healthy eating program, all the food a child needs during their school day, including morning snack and lunch, are covered by tuition. Our culinary partners are passionate advocates of healthy eating and happy children. We believe that it is never too early to instill good eating habits in our children and school lunch is just the place to start. We focus on healthy proteins, whole grains, seasonal fruits, vegetables and proper balance. We serve traditional and ethnic meals using best quality, better tasting, and better for you ingredients. We believe in using organic, non-processed, farm to table, nutrient dense foods. No hard to pronounce chemicals or chemical dyes are used. We can also accommodate special dietary needs including food allergies, gluten-free diets, faith-based and vegetarian requirements.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION
A high-quality physical education curriculum inspires all pupils to succeed and excel in competitive sport and other physically demanding activities. It should provide opportunities for children to become physically confident in a way that supports their health and fitness. Opportunities to compete in sports and other activities build character and help to embed values such as fairness and respect. The curriculum for physical education aims to ensure that all children:

  • Develop competence to excel in a broad range of physical activities
  • Are physically active for sustained periods of time
  • Engage in competitive sports and activities
  • Lead healthy, active lives
  • See physical activity as a life-long habit and worthy pursuit

Check out our Grade 2 trailblazers most recent collaborative project!

While exploring the IB transdiciplinary theme of "How We Organize Ourselves", students are inquiring into how people use measurement systems as organizational tools. During this engineering project, students were tasked with designing, measuring, building and improving a dream home for one of their stuffed animals.

Take a look at these trailblazers demonstrating the IB Learner Profile Attributes of "Inquirer, Thinker, and Communicator" as they built their dream homes!
